We bought this bike for our then 23 month-old son almost a year ago. He was still riding the push cars but was not big enough for a trike. Within just a month or so of us showing him how to grab the handles and hop on, he was hooked! Hi LOVES it and rides everyday. He feels like a Big Kid and with out any prompting or "lessons" from us, he learned to stride, push, and glide by putting his feet on the foot rest.
The bike has taken a beating over this last year. He rides everyday and the bike is outside only. It's still in great shape! Of course the paint is a bit chipped, but the tires and seat are still perfect.
I have no doubt that as he nears his third birthday, he will go straight to a big kid bike without training wheels. However, we may purchase the next size up Strider just because it's so much fun!
Absolutely worth the price (which is reasonable for the quality and durability). Probably the best non-essential purchase we have made for our son to this point.
